We can provide trace routes to exchanges such as LMAX or Prime on request. Amito can also co-ordinate direct cross-connects to any other party in any of the Equinix facilities in Slough (LD4, LD5 and LD6).

In the nearby Equinix LD5, Amito has built a specialist low-latency managed internet platform. REVIEW OF EQUINIX LD4

Equinix LD4 opened in 2007. It has since become one of three key trading venues in the London market – and is the only one not owned by an exchange. The other two are London Stock Exchange [equities], located in the City, and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) which hosts LIFFE, in Basildon, Essex.

Equities and foreign exchange are the two main asset classes traded in LD4. Given the nature of the client base, facility standards are high.

The strong interest in this data centre from the financial-trading community has helped drive carrier networks into LD4 and the entire Equinix campus in Slough. LD4 features a growing LINX [London Internet Exchange] node, with over 100 ports now in use. A growing list of wholesale users  are now using the Equinix facilities in Slough as an alternative redundant network node to their main PoP’s in London Docklands.

Cross-connects are permitted between all three Equinix buildings on the Slough Trading Estate. This makes it one of the best-connected locations outside of Central London. It also means only the most latency-sensitive of customers will need to physically be in LD4.
